Grandpa Jack's Molasses Cookies
A week ago Brad and I made Grandpa Jack's molasses cookies. It was like I was taken back in a time warp about 25 years! I even made them with the exact same mixer that he used to use. Brad was excited to see how the mixer worked and was even more thrilled that it spun around on its own. He was a very good helper. Brad poured the molasses into the mix (and told me that it smelled bad!) along with the buttermilk. When we were done with the cookies, we made a special delivery to Gramona. This is just the start of our holiday baking!

Slacker
Ok--so I am going to admit it. I have been a complete slacker on my blog lately. Nothing really exciting has been going on. OK--take that back, we did have our deck stained (finally). But really, that isn't exciting. I have just been trying to deal with the naughty little boy that has invaded our house, as of late. Not sure if it's the weather or what, but Brad has been a complete monster at night. His new thing is hitting and shoving. After he does it he asks, "How'd that feel?" I am doing my best to curb this behavior, but I seem to be losing the battle. At his parent teacher conference, I discussed this with his teachers and therapists and we are going to come up with a plan to help with the anger and aggression that Brad shows at home. Speaking of the parent teacher conference, it really went well. They are really impressed with how far Brad has come since starting school last year. His OT was thrilled with how far his handwriting has come just since September. I have been working with him at home as well and I guess that it is showing. Well, enough bragging! Seeing as Thanksgiving is upon us, I am going to finish by saying that I am most thankful for my wonderful family. They make me who I am and bring a smile to my face often!
