Ok--so I am going to admit it. I have been a complete slacker on my blog lately. Nothing really exciting has been going on. OK--take that back, we did have our deck stained (finally). But really, that isn't exciting. I have just been trying to deal with the naughty little boy that has invaded our house, as of late. Not sure if it's the weather or what, but Brad has been a complete monster at night. His new thing is hitting and shoving. After he does it he asks, "How'd that feel?" I am doing my best to curb this behavior, but I seem to be losing the battle. At his parent teacher conference, I discussed this with his teachers and therapists and we are going to come up with a plan to help with the anger and aggression that Brad shows at home. Speaking of the parent teacher conference, it really went well. They are really impressed with how far Brad has come since starting school last year. His OT was thrilled with how far his handwriting has come just since September. I have been working with him at home as well and I guess that it is showing. Well, enough bragging! Seeing as Thanksgiving is upon us, I am going to finish by saying that I am most thankful for my wonderful family. They make me who I am and bring a smile to my face often!
Today we decided to put up the Christmas tree. I don't know what came over me. It's not even December 1st yet! But it made Brad very happy to put it up. Then again, not sure why I did it to please him as he has been a complete monster lately and Santa probably won't even be stopping at our house. And if he does, Brad will probably just get an onion in his stocking! But the house is decorated inside and outside, now we just wait for the big day, and maybe some snow! Hard to believe that we have not gotten any snow yet!
When we were done putting the "big" tree up, Brad asked if he could put the "little" tree up in his room again. He had the tree in his room last year and wanted it again. So back down to the basement I went to dig out his tree. He was very excited to decorate it. He put a bunch of jingle bells on it and a couple of ornaments. He said that he hopes that Santa leaves something under this tree too. Perhaps some pearl onions!!!
