As many of you know, Brad has been in early intervention since he was 2 years old for lack of speech and sensory processing disorder. It was been wonderful and I can't begin to say enough great things about his school and what they have done for him. Main Street is a wonderful place and he has come so very far in a very short time. With that said, I found out this morning that our wonderful governor wants to fee those of us that receive early intervention. Many of us who receive these services may not be able to afford them. This really makes me upset. Here is what is proposed:
*Establish Early Intervention Parent Fee. Establishes a new monthly parental fee, based upon income, for the Early Intervention Program, similar to other states.
*Establish Early Intervention Provider Fee. Imposes a new application fee on providers seeking to participate in the Early Intervention Program.
